Rift Runner

A mobile-first lane-dodging game that installs to your home screen and plays offline.

Prototype

Built on a starter: the README says it ships with a small playable loop and invites swapping in your own game.

The Rift Runner title screen: glowing 'RIFT RUNNER' text over a starfield with a Play button.

The problem or experience

A small, polished mobile loop: a ship runs up a three-lane track and you dodge falling rifts.

Who it's for

Anyone with a phone and a minute, and developers who want a PixiJS and TypeScript starter.

My contribution

It is my project, built with Vite, TypeScript, PixiJS v8, GSAP and Howler.js, and set up as an offline PWA.

What works today

  • Tap, swipe or use the keyboard to change lanes.
  • Installs to a phone's home screen as a PWA, per the README.

Limitations

  • It is a starter loop, not a full game.
  • I checked that the title screen loads.
