The problem or experience
Gravity and star formation are easier to feel than to read about. VOIDLAB lets you paint elements into empty space and watch them collapse, orbit and ignite.
Who it's for
Anyone curious about space who likes sandboxes.
My contribution
It is my project. I haven't linked a public repository for it.
What works today
- Paint elements such as hydrogen, iron and dark matter into space.
- Orbit assist, pause-to-build and a field guide of 25 entries, as shown on the site.
Limitations
- It is a toy model, not a physics simulation.
- I've checked that it loads and runs, not every feature.
